SISS-24 (On-site and remote Event)

The 24th Scientific International Symposium on SIMS and Related Techniques Based on Ion-Solid Interactions (SISS-24) will be held June 18 (Wed) – June 20 (Fri), 2025, at Egret Himeji in Himeji, Japan.

SISS-24 will focus on SIMS and related techniques in ion-solid interactions, covering fundamentals, instrumentation, data analysis, and applications in fields such as semiconductors, industrial materials, biology, medicine, and geoscience.

Special Session Honoring Professor Jiro MatsuoCelebrating His Outstanding Contributions to Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS)

This year’s event will feature a special session honoring Prof. Jiro Matsuo, who will retire from Kyoto University in 2025, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to SIMS technology.

SISS-24 will be held as part of the activities of the MBA technical committee of the Japan Society of Vacuum and Surface Science.

· Note: SISS-24 will be held in a hybrid (On-site & Remote) format, allowing participants to join the oral sessions online if they are unable to attend in person. However, please note that the poster session will be available only for in-person attendees.
